Parkinson’s Disease Hormone Therapy
Understand why is it important to keep your testosterone levels up when you have a diagnosis of Parksinson’s Disease – and how the SottoPelle® Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Method can help you live a fuller life!
Visit the SottoPelle Brain and Mental Health page for more information about how hormonal balance supports a healthy brain and offers protection for neurodegenerative conditions.
How Parkinson’s Disease Changes the Body
When Parkinson’s disease (PD) strikes, it causes the failure and death of a critical nerve cells in the brain, called neurons. Parkinson’s mainly affects neurons in an area of the brain called the substantia nigra. These particular neurons produce dopamine. Dopamine, in turn, communicates with the part of the brain that controls movement and coordination. As PD progresses, dopamine production decreases. This leaves a person unable to control movement in a normal way and this inhibits the ability to exercise and maintain fitness.
Hormone Replacement Therapy for Parkinson’s Treatment
The SottoPelle® hormone replacement method – specifically testosterone replacement – aids those with Parkinson’s to exercise. It gives them the motivation, endurance and stamina to make headway in physical fitness, just as it does in those without the disease. Parkinson’s patients using pellets have experienced significant improvements in their conditions. Our BHRT isn’t a cure for Parkinson’s Disease, but our patients report that it helps them manage their symptoms. This enables patients to become more functional with less medication.

SottoPelle® Parkinson’s Disease Patients Are Enjoying a Higher Quality of Life
Transgender & Gender Diverse Hormone Replacement Method
Why SottoPelle®?
Following the SottoPelle® Method, 100% natural HRT pellets are administered by physicians – for the safest and most effective results during and after your transition. Daily pills, painful shots, conspicuous patches, and messy creams and gels are not practical for a long-term solution. In addition to being a constant hassle, these antiquated hormone delivery methods do not promote natural quality in your true identity and lifestyle.
But bioidentical hormone therapy pellets only need to be inserted once every four to six months in a quick 10 minute procedure. In addition to being safer and more natural, bioidentical HRT pellets are much simpler, more effective and offer greater consistency of delivery.
Every treatment is customized for the individual transgender or gender diverse patient’s unique hormone balancing needs – and we monitor any potential health risks closely – working in tandem with you and your other participating physicians.

Why the SottoPelle® Hormone Method?
Once inserted, a steady, low dose of natural hormone flows directly into the blood stream whenever the body needs it. This gives the body the ability to control the release of the hormones just as it did when the ovaries and testicles were working normally.
